Beauty on a Budget: Top 5 Foundations under 250 L.E.

in Beauty/Live by

Having flawless skin is the ultimate beauty goal, and when it comes to achieving flawless foundation you don’t have to spend big to win big! Nowadays, the technology in makeup has increased rapidly for both high-end and affordable brands. Sister companies such as Lancôme and L’Oreal are two vastly different brands; however, they use similar ingredients that create the same effect.

Here is my verdict on the five bargain foundation brands that pack serious bang for their buck.
In no particular order:

1. L’Oreal Paris True Match Foundation – SPF 17: Starting at 190 L.E

This ultra blendable foundation adapts to your skin like a dream. It is a liquid formula that is suitable for normal to combination skin. However, I have used it when my skin was more on the dryer side; just added a thicker moisturizer before doing so. The coverage can be sheer when applied with a beauty sponge, or it can be built up to be thicker with a denser, flat kabuki brush. Overall, this foundation is perfect for a flawless base.

L’Oreal True Match comes in 32 shades that range from light to deep complexions, making it very easy for you to find the shade that suits you best.

2. L’Oreal Infallible Pro Glow Foundation – SPF 15: Starting at 210 L.E

The L’Oreal Infallible Pro Glow Foundation makes dryer skin look radiant and glowing. Its hydrating formula makes skipping moisturizer easy and guilt free! It has medium coverage and can be sheered down with a beauty sponge. For me, this is the perfect foundation to enter the winter with, as skin starts to get dryer with the colder weather. The Infallible Pro-Glow will keep your skin looking healthy and hydrated through the colder days.

Unfortunately, this foundation only comes in 12 shades that lack in the deeper tones.

3. MILANI Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation and Concealer:

The name of this foundation says it all. It has a full coverage finish that is perfect for those who want to cover any acne scars or redness.  One of the biggest benefits of this foundation is its no mess, no drip pump that dispenses just the right amount of liquid that you need. Overall, this foundation is perfect for occasions and nights out where you need that extra coverage and flawless finish. I would recommend this foundation for normal to oily skin tones.

Unfortunately, this foundation also lacks in deeper tones, with only 14 shades to choose from.

4. Maybelline Fit Me! Matte + Poreless Foundation: Starting from 125 L.E.

The Fit Me Matte and Poreless foundation is perfect for those with normal to oily skin. It is best applied with a damp beauty sponge for an overall flawless finish. The foundation dries matte on your skin, but doesn’t leave you looking flat; there is still some natural dewiness that shines through which gives a more natural approach. I would highly recommend this foundation for the daytime where you want to have that matte look but still appear youthful and dewy.

This foundation has an amazing variety of color options to choose from as the line carries 24 shades.

5. L’Oreal Infallible 24-Matte Foundation: starting from 250 L.E

The L’Oreal Infallible 24-Matte foundation is the most mattifying of all the foundations on this list. It has an air-light formula that lasts all day on your skin. There is a medium to full coverage finish that is also perfect for those who have any blemishes or scarring. This foundation is best used with a damp beauty sponge for an overall smooth complexion. I would advise those with dryer skin to stay away from this one, as it does stick to dry patches and extenuate them more.

This foundation comes in 12 shades that are far suited for those with light to medium complexions.
