Ramadan has ended and it’s officially summer! This doesn’t mean just the sun and the beach; it also means kids officially on holiday and looking for any outlet for their energy. Sure, we can drop them off at the pool or the beach every morning or leave them to their technology and television, but there’s a lot more they can do.
Here is a bunch of fun stuff happening for kids this summer. Some of these places have activities both in Cairo and Sahel so that you can keep your kids having fun AND busy wherever you are!
Started with the vision of a cultural and diverse society, SANE offers a space that is inspirational, creative and cultivating of talent. Through the classes they offer, they provide their students with new skills and ideas. This summer, in addition to their normal Cairo operations, SANE are setting up in Sahel. Their venue at Lakeyard in Hacienda Bay offers classes AND a summer camp. They have a camp running throughout next week themed “Beach Days”. Hurry up and book your kid’s spot before July 9th or check the rest of their schedule and activities on their page.
For citizens of West Cairo, Clubliko normally offers a space where the entire family gets to enjoy the day in 6th of October. This summer they are also running summer camps for your kids from July 10th through July 28th at their Cairo location. They’ve just recently announced the dates and will be providing more details soon, so stay tuned!
Leap Development Hub is the perfect place for your child to grow up a critical and well-rounded individual. It’s educational, physical, creative, healthy and so much more. In their Cairo location in New Cairo, July is dedicated to experiencing and exploring transportation and its different aspects and angles. They will also be operating a kids’ hub at The Avenue – La Vista in Sahel. Leave your kids with them anytime between 3 pm and 3 am. Stay updated with new information as they post it on either of their pages linked above!
Nafas offer classes and after-school programs that are a mix of gardening, cooking, nutrition and ecology. They teach your children what goes into their bodies, what they need, and what the effect of all this is on their surrounding environment. This summer, Nafas will also be operating a day camp in Sahel. Based in Hacienda, their camp will revolve, like their classes, around cooking and gardening and is open to ages 4-16. It will run from July 18th to August 13th. Check their website or Facebook page for general information about Nafas and this event for more information about the Sahel camp.
Operating at Almaza Bay for the second summer in a row this year is Les Elfes summer camp. The camp is run by Swiss experts and provides kids with an experience they’ll never forget as they stay at an Almaza Bay hotel and often literally camp out with their friends. Part of the experience will also include baking classes provided by none other than NOLA cupcakes. This summer, they have 5 sessions running, one week each, between July 17th and August 18th.
