Most people are only interested in one thing when it comes to eating right and diet tips-WEIGHT LOSS. That’s pretty much what it comes down to. All they want to know is what foods will boost metabolism and what are the safe fat burners out there. So, I’ve decided to give you the low down on natural fat burning techniques to get you started.
There are some common imbalances that lead to increased body fat storage and low metabolism, no matter what your body type is. So by supporting hormone pathways, neurotransmitter signals, and the metabolic pathways directly responsible for using stored fat as energy, we are in a way boosting our metabolism and burning more body fat.
The following guidelines are a general approach to help support your weight loss journey and increase your metabolism, thus burning more fat:
Dehydration slows down metabolic activity and fat burning ability. Most of us are dehydrated on a daily basis that our metabolism system has slowed down as a result. Rehydrating restores your metabolic function by 3-5%, depending on the level of dehydration.
2. Increase antioxidants in your diet
Green tea, fruits, and vegetables all reduce oxidation in the cells. Fruits, for example, are an on going detoxifying food, they promote the removal of toxins which if are not removed from your body will make your weight loss journey a much harder one to begin with. Antioxidants will attach to the toxins (or free radicals) in your body and remove them from your body. That’s why antioxidants are very important in our diets! Antioxidants allow stored fat to release into the bloodstream and be used for energy.
3. Don’t starve yourself
Starvation will only slow down your metabolism and the burning of body fat. Eating the calories that your body needs rather than starving yourself will help your body burn fat and improve your metabolism.
4. If you can’t eat breakfast, drink it
Breakfast can be as easy as a smoothie that contains all the nutrients your body needs to get a necessary jump start. Having breakfast every day is an important factor for keeping off weight and keeping your body in balance.
5. Eat fat to lose fat
Yes, I kept the best for last. Unhealthy fats are bad for you and should be avoided, but healthy fats are absorbed and used in skin, joint tissue, biochemical pathways that help reduce inflammation and most importantly it reduces fat cravings. Increase your intake from healthy fats, such as nuts, seeds, avocados, fish, and fish oil.
