They key to maintaining a healthy lifestyle is planning ahead, prepping your food and having an idea of how and what you’ll eat throughout your day. The best way to do that is plan your meals ahead of time so you’re not stuck with unhealthy options or starving yourself – something we definitely do not recommend! Here are a few of our favorite healthy meal options to take with you to work

1. Sweet and Tart Salad Jar

This quick and easy salad recipe can be prepared in advance. All you need to do is prepare the salad in a jar and keep it in the fridge overnight.

2. Banana Breakfast Shake

If you’re one of the people who never had time to sit and eat a proper breakfast before work, this is the perfect breakfast shake. It doesn’t require a lot of time to prepare and you can have it on the spot or take it with you to work!

3. Beetroot & Carrot Hummus

This hummus recipe can be used in many ways, you can pack some hummus and dip some veggies into it (cucumbers and carrots work perfectly) or  you can spread it on whole grain toast to make a quick sandwich.

For those who spend hours at work and need to have their lunch there, this is our absolute favorite grilled chicken recipe! Prepare 5-days worth of chicken the beginning of the week and store it in the fridge. This way you’ll have lunch prepared for everyday of the week!

5. Blueberry Chia Oats Breakfast Bowl

We love all things that come in jar. This overnight oatmeal recipe is very easy to make and can be enjoyed as breakfast or a late morning meal. Just prep it the night before and grab it on your way out in the morning.

Sweet Potato chips are the perfect combination of sweet and crisp and Kale Chips are a great way to get in more greens.
