We weren’t surprised to find out that the presenter of the healthiest show in the Middle East, The Green Apple Show, is following a healthy diet. It only makes sense that she practices what she preaches, and she is doing it very well if you ask us. Here is a day in the diet of Howayda Abou Heif:

6:00 am: Warm water with apple cider vinegar or half a lemon.

6.30 am: Morning tea with a couple of plain oat biscuits.

8.00 am: Gym time. Pre or post workout she has a green juice consisting of celery, parsley, coriander, carrot, tomato, cucumber, ginger and lemon.

10.00 am: Real breakfast! This is usually high in protein. Today it was 2 boiled eggs mashed with 1 avocado (add some olive oil and lots of white vinegar) and whole wheat thins.

10.00 am to 12.00 pm: On her way to work, she stops at a coffee shop for her daily takeaway latte.

1.00 pm: Two pots plain yogurt with fresh mango and pomegranate, and a spoon of crushed flax seeds on top.

3.00 pm: Howayda’s take on Greek Salad: mixed greens with olives, cottage cheese, and balsamic vinegar.

3.00-5.00 pm: A handful of salted nuts to munch on in between meetings.

5:30 pm: Back home finally! Homemade dinner today was molokheya, chicken, and two tablespoons of rice. She starts her main meal with a big bowl of salad.

7.00 pm: Ginger lemon tea.

During the day Howayda might have two cups of green tea or some ginger lemon tea. We hope you are as inspired as we are!
