Mars Chocolate has recalled chocolate distributed and sold in more than 55 countries, with Egypt being one of them. The recall was prompted by a piece of red plastic found in a Snickers bar in Germany.
The company has since recalled products manufactured from December 5th, 2015 to January 18th, 2016 by its Netherlands facilities. It’s important to know that different products and different batches have possibly been affected and recalled, ranging from fun-size bars, variety packs and full size bars of Mars, Snickers and Celebrations brands.
Though the chocolates have officially been recalled by the corporation, they may still exist on the shelves here in Egypt. Take the time to check manufacturing dates and batch numbers to avoid any products made during this period. For a complete product list break down and dates to avoid, check the full list here.
