This edition of “Healthy Breakfast Options” was honestly the hardest to write. Partly because we’re based in Sheikh Zayed and partly because Heliopolis really loves its food with a “healthy” amount of butter and fat, so finding something that was purely healthy was a challenge. One we rose up to might I say.


This wonderful place makes sensational bagels in all shapes and forms. Once you enter this magical bagel wonderland the delicious scent of all things baked is going to hit your taste buds hard, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Granola: Oats with yogurt, honey, and seasonal fruit topped with almonds. Can you say Yum?! Fun Fact, this is actually under their “Desserts” menu. That’s how yummy this healthy breakfast appropriate meal is

Il Mulino

I’ve mentioned this beautiful oasis before and for good reason. The fresh air, the greenery, and the amazing food are all more than enough for you to hit up Il Mulino for your next healthy breakfast treat.

Saumon Marine: Marinated salmon, capers, onion, rocca leaves, lemon and extra virgin olive oil in brown bread.


If you’ve seen the promotional video Battaw did for their restaurant you’ll understand how we feel about this place. Everything you order there feels homemade and it’s exactly what you need to on a chilly winter morning.

Battaw: Our signature dish of fava beans, beetroot, green peppers, onions, and pickled eggs

Taameya: light & crispy taameya served with tahini and dukka.


If you’re up for a classier breakfast that’s less chill and more on the fancier things of life then Coco is the place for you.

Veggie Omelette: Mushrooms, Peppers, Onions, And Tomatoes. Basically, everything that makes a healthy omelet perfect.

Brioche Doree


Speaking of fancy, this place is on the much fancier things of life. Its name means “Golden Brioche” which is a type of bread that literally melts your heart as you’re eating it. This restaurant might have somewhat of a chill vibe but the quality of food and service there is high-class grade.

Salade Saumon et Crabe: Smoked salmon, crab shavings laid on mix green lettuce with edamame beans, avocado, served with lemon dressing. Seriously, I’m watering at the mouth as I write this.
