Alexandrian Style Baked Fish

You don't have to live seaside to enjoy this healthy meal. Making this dish will take you there.

2 kg Fish (grey mullet fish, open from the sides)

1 count Head of Celery

2 count Whole Garlic head , broken into cloves minced

2 count Carrots, sliced

2 count Tomatoes, sliced

2 count Green Bell Pepper, sliced

1 count Onion

2 count Lemon, sliced

2 tbsp Cumin

1 tbsp Salt

2 tbsp Coriander

1/4 tsp Black Pepper

3 tbsp Olive Oil

2 tbsp Vinegar

8 count Juice of Lemon

1 kg Potatoes, sliced


Wash fish well.

In a bowl, mix the garlic, spices, oil, vinegar and lemon juice.

Marinate the fish with the mix, making sure to cover the inside and outside of each fish with the mix.

Lay the fish in a baking dish and spread the potatoes, bell pepper, onion, tomatoes, and carrot slices all around.

Add the lemon slices to the baking sheet and place celery inside the fish, as well as on top of the fish.

Bake in an oven at 350 degrees for one hour and 20 minutes.
