Homemade Granola
June 16, 2016
Homemade granola is one of the easiest recipes to customize. You can use different combinations of nuts, seeds and dried fruits according to your preference. Be ready to say good bye to sugary store bought granola and hello to your own healthier, customizable granola creation! Be sure you use rolled oats and not instant oats for this recipe.
Directions
Preheat the oven to 180C degrees.
Finely chop dried fruits and nuts, or roughly blend in a blender or food processor.
Mix together oats and chopped fruits and nuts in a large bowl.
Melt coconut oil and honey/syrup over a low heat. Spread over oats and fruit and nut mixture.
Combine all ingredients together to evenly coat oats, fruit and nut with the oil and honey/syrup.
Use a piece parchment paper to cover the baking sheet, then evenly spread mixture in pan.
Bake for approximately 20 minutes (or until golden brown) at 180C, stirring occasionally for even baking.
Leave to cool on the baking tray and then store in an airtight container.
